A global industrial machine manufacturer is looking for a Field Service Technician based out of the Calgary, AB area. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automation equipment repair/Trouble shoot and have a mechanical academic background. Sales training will be provided. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Nature of the job, this will requires request travel to British Columbia to Saskatchewan territory. Comprehensive training will be provided; entry-level candidates and recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of Field Service Technician: * Travel locally and nationwide to customer locations to identity any technical problems and perform on-site repair * Communicate with customers via telephone to troubleshoot * Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairs * Educate customers on product features, new offerings, and service upgrades that add value. * Document and report any issues * Provide top customer service to clients * Show attention to detail * Other duties as assigned Qualifications of Field Service Technician: * Associate’s degree in engineering preferred or a 2-year Technical Degree * 1+ years maintenance or related experience (Such as Intern or Apprenticeship) required (such as the Industrial, Manufacturing or Automotive industry) * Prefers to have Sales experience in automotive or industrial machine industry but not mandatory. * Able to travel for projects, including some overnight. Travel would be Monday through Friday with weekends off. Expenses are covered. * Must have a mechanical and/or electrical background * Familiarity with Press brake Machines, CNC, Lasers, or EDM equipment is a big plus * A valid driver’s license and consistent access to a personal vehicle are required for this position. * Available for frequent travel up to 90% within BC, AB and SK. * French Bilingual skill is an asset * This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
