Overview:
To ensure the efficient functioning of the Salad Bar department, providing customers with the best quality products and ensuring courteous, timely customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To direct and supervise all Salad Bar staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service.
- To respond immediately to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, maintaining courteous customer relations at all times.
- To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals and budgets are met.
- To organize and set up the department properly, ensuring signage is received, made, and displayed correctly.
- To maximize daily reprocessing within the Produce department, assisting the Produce Manager in minimizing shrinkage.
- To handle ordering, receiving, inventory, and display of merchandise.
- To hire and train all part-time staff.
- To schedule Salad Bar clerks, controlling wage costs.
- To interpret and enforce company policies and ensure compliance with union contracts.
- To maintain equipment, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Flexibility to work various hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Three to five years of experience in the retail Produce industry.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
