Job Description
<p><b>Responsibilities:</b><br></p><li>Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. <br></li><li>Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. <br></li><li>Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required. <br></li><li>Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs. <br></li><li>Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, <br></li><li>user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes <br></li><p><b>General Skills: </b><br></p><li>Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance <br></li><li>Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, <br></li><li>designing for web and mobile applications <br></li><li>Proficiency with design and prototyping tools <br></li><li>Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies <br></li><li>Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience <br></li><li>Experience conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, <br></li><li>user flows, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences <br></li><li>Experience designing the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, <br></li><li>iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing <br></li><li>Experience designing and delivering wireframes, user stories, user flows, user journeys, <br></li><li>mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces <br></li><li>Experience facilitating the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, <br></li><li>sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products and optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces <br></li><li>Experience identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions <br></li><li>Experience making strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features <br></li><li>Experience gathering user feedback to configure existing interfaces <br></li><li>A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience<br></li><br><br><h3>Requirements</h3><p><b>Experience and Skill Set Requirements:</b><br></p><p><b>Must Haves:</b><br></p><ul><li>Facilitating user experience design research through a number of methods, such as user interviews, diary studies, usability testing, tracking usability metrics, A/B testing, card sorting, etc.<br></li><li>Synthesize research findings into insightful and concise user research documents, such as user journey maps, personas, service blueprints, and affinity maps.<br></li><li>Design thinking workshops and activities to lead project teams in ideating on solutions to complex product and service design related problems.<br></li><li>Knowledge about service design methods to provide high-level "bird's eye view" documentation of both the front-end user experiences and the back-end infrastructure and service processes that support them<br></li><li>Strong communication skills to prepare documentation, including but not limited to; <br></li><li>think critically about what value design activities are bringing to a project, and strategize approach based on organizational need rather than following "textbook" solutions<br></li><p><b>Communications:</b><br></p><li>Strong communication skills to prepare documentation, including but not limited to; reports, reviews, assessments<br></li><li>Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively and in a user friendly manner; <br></li><li>maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients<br></li><li>Ability to communicate designs and development in clear and understandable manner<br></li><li>Ability to communicate with technical experts and business subject matter experts to elicit key information relevant to user experience and service design<br></li><li>High emotional intelligence skills, with ability to discern between various stakeholders' interests and find reasonable compromises<br></li><li>Strong mentoring and coaching abilities; ability to convey design concepts and methods to team members and stakeholders outside of design professions.<br></li><p><b>Agile Product Development:</b><br></p><li>Experience working in an agile, sprint-based development environment<br></li><li>Understanding and working knowledge of iterative product development cycles (Discovery, Agile, Beta, Live)<br></li><li>Experience collaborating and sharing design tasks with multiple designers on complex product deliveries<br></li><li>Ability to conceptualize design tasks as part of greater product development team; understand the impacts design deliverables have on other aspects of product delivery<br></li><p><b>Experience:</b><br></p><li>Experience with medium-to-large sized product development / service design projects<br></li><li>Experience dealing with designing services and products that deal with large organizational complexity<br></li><li>Experience with leading strategy and execution on product/service discovery<br></li><li>Experience with Figma user interface design software<br></li><li>Experience designing interfaces with a design system<br></li><p><b>Price</b><br></p>
