Your role will help shape how Tokio Marine Canada meets regulatory standards and grows responsibly in the Canadian market. You will advise cross-functional teams on how to respond to regulatory changes, ensure Enterprise Risk Management processes remain current and effective, and work closely with the leadership team on high-visibility initiatives.
This is a full-time, hybrid position and you are expected to split your time between our Toronto office and remote working, based on business needs.
Who You Are
You are an analytical, driven professional who thrives in fast-paced environments where precision and adaptability are equally important.
You communicate with clarity and confidence across all levels of an organization, including with senior leaders. You know when to dive into the details and when to step back and connect the dots. You thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, ongoing interactions, and the opportunity to work autonomously and take ownership.
What’s In It For You:
Real Impact. Your work will directly influence how we operate in a highly regulated market.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, finance, HR, IT, and operations, and play a visible role in initiatives that matter, introducing new risk and compliance frameworks and supporting internal and external audits.

This is a company that recognizes and rewards their team. You will be supported in your skills and knowledge development, and have opportunities to advance your career.
A Meaningful Mission. Backed by one of the world’s most respected insurance groups, Tokio Marine Canada exists to support Canadian businesses as they innovate and grow.
We are not a traditional insurer-we are a purpose-driven scale-up where integrity, empowerment, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus drive everything we do.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Advance regulatory compliance. You will analyze and interpret federal and provincial insurance regulations, develop policies in response to emerging requirements, and support internal and external audits with precision and professionalism.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). You will contribute to the execution of our ERM program, prepare risk committee materials, liaise with internal risk owners, and ensure controls are maintained and aligned with business needs.
- Champion governance and integrity. You will review internal communications and training materials for compliance alignment, manage regulatory filings and licensing and play a key role in responding to regulatory inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
- Drive collaboration. You will work closely with departments including the underwriting, claims, finance, HR, IT and operations teams to promote a high rigour risk and compliance culture across the organization. You will assist in driving meeting agendas and ensure understanding and clarity of corporate actions.
- Own the details. You will maintain and update documentation, track corporate policies and filings, and prepare reports for quarterly Board of Directors meetings with accuracy and timeliness.
What You Bring:
- The Experience. You have experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance managing compliance, regulatory, and/or risk-related responsibilities. You have supported or led regulatory compliance, assisted with internal and external audits, and ERM initiatives.
You are familiar with OSFI, provincial/territorial regulators, and financial services industry best practices. - The Compliance and Risk Acumen. You have a solid understanding of Canadian insurance regulations and a strong ability to interpret and apply them within a business context. You have supported policy and form filings and conducted compliance reviews. You can review and implement internal policies in a way that balances regulatory adherence with business practicality.

You are open to exploring and leveraging emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies, such as Microsoft Co-Pilot, to improve efficiency and insights. - The Initiative. You are organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate accountability in everything you do. You have excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You can work independently and as part of a team, fostering trusting collaborative relationships across departments to support a culture of compliance and good governance. - The Values Alignment. You are committed to integrity, customer focus, collaboration, empowerment, and innovation.
