<p><h3>Job Details</h3><p>Job Title: Risk Analyst - TDJP00053503</p><p>Contract Duration: 16+ months (Extension possible)</p><p>Pay range: C$25 - 35 / hr</p><p>Location: Toronto, ON</p><p>Work Type: Hybrid, 2 days onsite</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>The Risk Analyst acts as a key resource / specialist owner or representative by providing technical subject matter expertise / analysis or operational process support on AML / ATF, Sanctions / ABAC matters.</li><li>Contribute to the identification and implementation of new products, operating workflow, additional services / products / applications, or operational efficiencies.</li><li>Ensure currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, and suspicious transaction reports are filed in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Run and review information against various lists / guidelines to ensure accuracy and flag potential deviations and unusual activity.</li><li>Develop and execute AML, Sanctions / ABAC reporting functions and / or produce consolidated or aggregated reporting as appropriate.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities – Shareholder</h3><ul><li>Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity.</li><li>Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; provide training, coaching, and / or guidance as appropriate.</li><li>Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.</li><li>Act as a brand champion for your business area / function and the bank, both internally and / or externally.</li></ul><h3>Breadth & Depth</h3><ul><li>Require specialized expertise and perform multiple and / or diverse tasks that are highly complex, involving multiple steps, systems, and jurisdictions.</li><li>Transactions and activities require in-depth knowledge across a broad range of variety of products, processes, or systems within their own area of specialty and where transactions could be characterized by moderate to high risk.</li><li>Gather and analyze data to identify complex problems and escalate as required.</li><li>Generally, interact with internal customers / partners for functions performed and / or external customers; may provide process / policy guidance to others (e.g. within the team, internal partners).</li><li>The focus of work is weekly, monthly, and / or longer with the addition of ad-hoc and initiative-based requests, as required.</li><li>Process subject matter expert in a range of technical processes and procedures; generally reports to a Team Manager.</li></ul><h3>Summary of Day-to-Day Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Candidates will be working within AML operations, conducting rapid (15-20 min) reviews of alerts that are triggered via an algorithm based on risk factors / behaviors.</li><li>Reviewing alerts for potential risks in customer transactions.</li><li>Writing up a 1-2 paragraph assessment on whether it should be escalated or closed.</li><li>Working within AML operations; rapid reviews of alerts that are triggered via algorithm (based on risk factors and behaviors) (15-20 minutes).</li><li>Customer transactions, details, and the nature of business.</li><li>Quickly write up a 1-2 paragraph review on whether it should be escalated or closed based on the absence of risk.</li></ul><h3>Must Haves</h3><ul><li>2 years of AML experience.</li><li>Previous corporate experience.</li><li>Self-driven and motivated to learn.</li><li>Able to work independently but also work as part of a team.</li><li>Computer savvy – pick up on internal systems and quick learner.</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>Previous banking experience (international included).</li><li>Professional education or certifications.</li><li>Business writing experience.</li></ul><h3>About The Company</h3><p>Top 10 banks in Canada and North America offering comprehensive financial solutions.
