About this Position
This role is responsible for leading, managing, coordinating, and implementing the customer scope of work within a designated area to provide exceptional Janitorial Services.
You will also be responsible for increasing revenue from existing customers and managing a mobile workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation plans for customers (i.e. waxing schedules, budgets, potential add-on sales opportunities).
- Build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
- Responsible for training subcontractors and employees on required legislated training (WHMIS, Health & Safety, etc.) and United cleaning specific training.
- Lead all process initiatives and work with senior management to identify trends and process gaps.
- Analyze and control store budgets, monitor expenses for operations, and develop strategies to decrease costs and increase profitability at the store level.
- Implement transitions of new business in customer locations in compliance with the transition process.
- Support in Hiring/Recruitment/Training/Performance Management/Termination of subcontractors.
- Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation.
Job Requirements
- Available to address customer and subcontractor needs and concerns in a timely manner.
- Ability to work flexible shifts on a rotation basis including evenings and nights.
- Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & high-stress environment and solve problems effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

- Business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active listening skills, time management, leadership skills, autonomy, competent with technology.
- Managing budgeting & costing within janitorial operational environments.
- Knowledge of floor-care and cleaning procedures is an asset.
- Ability to motivate a mobile team of subcontractors.
Education/Experience
- Degree in business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Janitorial industry or any other dynamic operational environment.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
