Salary: $44,000 - $48,000 per year

Job Description



The Rental Technician is responsible for rental equipment within the local inventory and will be a reliable technician resource for external and internal customers. The Rental Technician will also provide top-notch customer service with a positive attitude.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Purpose & Values: Live and demonstrate the companys purpose and values, which

  • Work safely and in alignment with all health and safety regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable about all rental units and their application. (Internal training will
    be provided.)
  • Prepare, maintain, and calibrate units as needed.
  • Secure and fulfill orders, which include collecting the rental agreement, preparing
    the rental unit for shipping.
  • Support other offices during peak periods and during vacation and sick coverage.
  • Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts.
  • Support to the Service dept as directed by management.
  • Support the warehouse during peak periods and/or manpower shortages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals


Support Accountabilities/Functions

  • Respond promptly to customer communications
  • Processing rental invoices.
  • Quote rates, deliveries, and terms to all customers and schedule timely follow-up.
  • Qualify opportunities and source the best rental item for the customers application.
  • Attend to A/R and A/P activities associated with Service & Rental business.


Requirements and Skills

  • Post-secondary education in a related Science discipline would be a definite advantage.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools and applications
  • Proven experience in rental environments with success in matching customer requirements to a broad array of products.
  • Working knowledge of rental fleet management and operations is an asset.
  • Possess proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company.
  • Hands on technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
  • Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. .
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to
    meet or exceed goals.
  • A positive attitude is essential.



Key Working Relationships

  • Collaboration with colleagues is essential to ensure customer requirements are met,
    and equipment is available when needed. Work closely within the team to fulfill
    customer orders.
  • Coordinate with the service and warehouse team to ensure timely customer
    equipment delivery, installation, and maintenance


Support Working Relationships

  • Building and maintaining solid relationships with customers renting equipment or
    services from your company is crucial. This involves understanding their needs,
    providing excellent service, and addressing concerns or issues.
  • Coordinating billing, invoicing, and payment processes often involves interaction with
    the finance and accounting departments. This ensures accurate and timely financial
    transactions related to rentals.
