<p><h3>Regulatory Compliance Director</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>Regulatory Compliance Director</b> role at <b>Allianz Partners</b></p>
<p>As a <b>Regulatory Compliance Director</b>, you’ll lead Canada’s First Line of Defense (FLOD) compliance program, making sure front-line activities—from sales and marketing to claims, operations, and product development—meet all federal and state requirements. You’ll embed compliance into daily operations, guide business leaders on emerging risks (including AI), and partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to strengthen the regulatory framework. You’ll also manage regulatory reviews, reports, and examinations, ensuring timely and accurate responses.</p>
<p>This is a strategic, hands‑on program director role with broad influence across the business, but no direct reports.</p>
<p>Way of working: This position follows a 2-day in-office hybrid schedule.</p>
<p>Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Managing Director of Allianz Global Assistance.</p>
<h3>What you will do</h3>
<ul>
<li><b>Integrate Compliance Across Front-Line Functions</b>: Lead the integration of regulatory compliance into front-line operations to strengthen adherence to Canadian regulatory requirements.</li>
<li><b>Regulatory Engagement & Reporting</b>: Oversee and respond to regulatory inquiries, including ongoing reporting, applications, data and document submissions, and formal examinations.</li>
<li><b>Product & Marketing Compliance Advisory</b>: Evaluate regulatory implications of new and existing products, services, and marketing initiatives in coordination with the Second Line of Defense.</li>
<li><b>Risk Assessment & Remediation Leadership</b>: Conduct regulatory risk assessments, compliance testing, and remediation planning in collaboration with Corporate Compliance and Risk teams.</li>
<li><b>Training & Culture Building</b>: Design and deliver training programs to foster regulatory awareness and promote ethical conduct throughout the organization.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What you will bring</h3>
<ul>
<li>University degree in law, business, Risk Management, or related field OR equivalent education, training and relevant experience.</li>
<li>Advanced certifications are an asset.</li>
<li>Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in insurance regulatory compliance.</li>
<li>At least 3 years’ experience in a functional leadership or program leadership role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of jurisdictional regulatory environments, including for advertising, marketing, distribution, licensing and AI requirements and considerations.</li>
<li>Experience managing regulatory inquiries, complaints, remediation projects, and compliance testing.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with regulators and translate this into business context for internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize regulatory changes into actionable business insights.</li>
<li>Proficiency with compliance systems, Microsoft Office suite, and change management tools.</li>
<li>Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and independent judgment.</li>
<li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results through influence and collaboration.</li>
