Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Nova Scotia, Canada
Contract Duration: 6 – 15 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Schedule: 4 days per week, 11.25 hours per shift
Specialties/Units: ICU, Emergency Department, Med/Surg, LTC, Labour & Delivery, and more
Available Locations: Amherst, Bridgewater, Canso, Digby, Halifax, Inverness, New Glasgow, Sydney, Yarmouth, and more.
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide clinical leadership and coordinate patient care in diverse and dynamic inpatient settings.
As part of an interdisciplinary care team, the RN will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered nursing practice that ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes across various units.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical leader, coordinating and delivering nursing care
- Mentor and support staff during complex or high-acuity situations
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation per healthcare regulations
- Contribute to workflow efficiency and effective resource utilization
- Engage in quality improvement, policy development, and continuing education
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Nova Scotia (or eligibility for registration)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute care or Med/Surg
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to apply evidence-based care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working across multiple specialties and extended shifts
- Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
