Job Title: Tester Level 2 Intermediate
Client: Federal Government
Location: 200 Kent Street, Ottawa, Ontario
Contract : 3 Years
Extension : two (2) additional one (1) -year period(s) under the same terms and conditions.

Responsibilities:
responsible for evaluating and ensuring the quality of software through systematic testing processes. The Senior and Intermediate testers identify and document bugs, verify fixes, and ensure that the final product meets the specified requirements and user expectations. Tasks in the scope of this role could include:
- Participating in functional and technical design reviews;
- Working other internal and external resources to ensure that the requirements for developing software applications are clear, unambiguous, complete, and measurable;
- Actively participate in all Scrum events performed in Agile environments;
- Analyzing requirements to identify test conditions;
- Designing and creating detailed test cases based on test basis and test conditions;
- Preparing test environments and test data for different test scenarios;
- Helping evaluate the work of other team members by using peer review technique;
- Executing functional, non-functional and regression testing using appropriate testing types, techniques and tools;
- Management of the defect life cycle that include:
- Raised defects with all relevant information;
- Triage defects with the team;
- Track defect resolution; and
- Perform confirmation tests.
- Designing, creating and maintaining automated regression test suites;
- Preparing and sharing test reports;
- Collaborating with developers to assess accessibility of products by using different software tools as well as manually;
- Investigating problems and opportunities in existing processes, and recommending solutions; and
- Managing walkthroughs and reviews related to testing and implementation readiness.
Deliverables:
- Test plans, test cases and test data;
- Status of test cases;
- Defect lists;
- Automated test scripts and automation test suites;
- Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Deployment (CD) regression pipelines;
- Non-functional test reports; and
- Test progress and test summary reports.

1.
Experience as Intermediate Tester
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Tester has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty (120) months as of the TA request date as a Tester – Level 2 in accordance with the TBIPS Supply Arrangement EN32 series.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined at the beginning of this appendix.
2.
Experience Creating test cases
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Tester has a minimum of thirty-six (36) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty
(120) months of the TA request date designing and creating detailed test cases based on acceptance criteria from user stories or other requirements.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
3.
Required testing types
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Tester has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience
within the past one hundred twenty (120)
months of the TA request date conducting all the following types of testing:
- Functional testing,
- non-functional testing and
- regression testing.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
4.
End-to-End Defect Testing
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Tester has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty (120) months of the TA request with data management of the defect life cycle, including all of the following tasks:
- Raising defects;
- Triage defects;
- Tracking defect resolution; and
- Performing confirmation tests.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
5.
Automated Regression Testing
The Contractor must demonstrate, using Reference Project(s) that the proposed resource for Intermediate Tester has a minimum of sixty (60) months of experience within the past one hundred twenty (120) months of the TA request date designing, creating, and maintaining automated regression test suites.
To demonstrate such experience, the Contractor must provide one (1) or more Reference Project(s) as defined in Section 1.0 of this appendix.
