Job Description

<p>The QA Technician provides independent routine quality checks on raw material, packaging, in-process materials, finished products, line monitoring and daily GMP practices to meet food safety and quality requirements.</p><p>Job Description</p><ul><li>Monitor production lines and verify process parameters are followed.</li><li>Monitor quality standards of finished products and make quality related decisions regarding compliance with company regulatory and certification standards</li><li>Conduct shelf-life studies, analyze trends, and compile reports.</li><li>Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging.</li><li>Conduct daily, weekly, monthly or annual inspections including daily GMP, Glass & Brittle plastic, pest control management verification, and Site Security Checklist.</li><li>Collect samples of finished products, ingredients, and surface swabs and send them to outside laboratory for microbiological,chemical and Allergen tests.</li><li>Communicate with production and maintenance departments on various quality issues. Participate in resolving quality issues.</li><li>Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing necessary corrective actions.</li><li>Hold and release materials physically and in the ERP software Navision.</li><li>Review and maintain all QA records and documents pertaining to HACCP, BRC, CFIA, etc.</li><li>Review and participate in updating standard operating procedures.</li><li>Update and submit documents for Organic ,Gluten-free ,kosher certification renewal and supplier management program.</li><li>Lead and conduct annual product traceability.</li><li>Conduct equipment inspection, recommend replacement and request calibration.</li><li>Check Sanitation Concentration, chemical usage and maintain SDS</li><li>Communicate changes that may affect quality and safety of products to the Production Supervisors and QA Supervisor/Manager.</li><li>Report process deviation and product failure, assist in the investigation, and complete corrective action reports.</li><li>Enforcement of hygiene, health and safety bakery rules, GMP practices.</li><li>Participate in external audits and lead Internal Audits, QCI and HACCP team meetings.</li><li>Coach and assist team members on GMP, Food safety culture HACCP ,Internal audits and Allergen training.</li><li>Train and monitor the sanitation Team member's performance.</li><li>Always work safely, keep work area clean and tidy, wear proper PPE, ensure the product meets proper quality standards and work to GMP rules.</li><li>Complete any assigned annual training and projects.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Skills & Experience Requirements:</p><p>· A university degree or college diploma in food science, biology or chemistry, quality assurance or any other related discipline.</p><p>· Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the field with knowledge of commonly used concepts and procedures.</p><p>· Professional written and oral communication.</p><p>· Excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills</p><p>· Computer Proficiency with Microsoft excel, power point and outlook.</p><p>· Problem-solving skills and independent judgment</p><p>Working Conditions:</p><p>· Typically 8-hour day shifts.</p><p>· Must be flexible to work afternoon, night, or weekend shifts as needed.</p><p>.
