Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup. </p><p></p><p>We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced <strong>Protection & Control Engineer-in-Training (EIT) </strong>to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our <strong>Burnaby BC, </strong>office.</p><p></p><p>If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><p></p><p><strong>Project Estimation:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist senior engineers in the development of protection and control designs from conceptual through implementation stages. </li><li>Prepare and review single-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials.</li><li>Perform engineering calculations related to protection coordination and system studies.</li><li>Program Protection & Control devices</li><li>Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to learn practical application of designs.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>· Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent </p><ul><li>Registered or is eligible for registration as an EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).</li><li>Relevant experience through co-op, academic projects, or professional work in substation utility design, protection and control design, or related power systems is an asset.</li><li>Familiarity with protection principles, relay coordination, and related engineering software is an asset. </li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>Experience using AutoCAD software is an asset</li><li>Motivated, organized, with a collaborative and adaptable approach to work.</li><li>Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)</li><li>Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Phasor Engineering Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
