<p>Community Housing Management Network</p><p>Housing Co-ordinator</p><p>The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) is recruiting to fill a part-time position (24 hours per week) as a Housing Co-ordinator in Acton.</p><p>Reporting to The Regional Co-ordinator, the Manager will be assigned to a co-operative site to provide day-to-day on-site services to the co-operative's members and its board of directors.</p><p>Who we are:</p><p>The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) was established in 2009 to fill property management service gaps in the co-operative and non-profit housing sector. We provide services to co-operatives to suit their individual needs. We work closely with the Board of Directors and the membership to ensure the co-op's goals are met on a daily, monthly and annual basis.</p><p>Our services focus on managing the finances, meeting legal requirements, working with maintenance staff to keep properties in good repair, keeping units full and supporting good governance.</p><p>What we offer our employees:</p><ul><li>An annual Wellness Benefit</li><li>2 weeks paid vacation in your first year</li><li>Some office closures the week between Christmas and New Years</li><li>Professional Development/Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Biennial Staff Education Event (2 days)</li><li>Employee Assistance Plan</li><li>Health Care Spending Account</li></ul><p>Wage: $22 - $24/hour depending on experience. This is a part-time position at 24 hours per week.</p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>have a working understanding of property management</li><li>have a working knowledge of co-op housing</li><li>have a strong understanding of financial statements</li><li>have excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>have effective oral and written communication skills</li><li>be able to organize tasks and priorities</li><li>be able to work independently</li><li>have a proven ability to supervise staff and contractors</li><li>have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office</li><li>have experience working with volunteers and a board of directors</li></ul><p>Responsibilities of Position:</p><ul><li>Answer the phone, emails and in-person inquiries (this is an on-site position)</li><li>Use the accounting software (QuickBooks or NewViews) to process payables and receivables</li><li>Oversee contractors and maintenance staff</li><li>Facilitate member engagement activities and support committees to execute activities</li><li>Develop monthly Board packages and attend monthly meetings</li><li>Send notices and follow up letters to members as needed</li><li>Maintain the office supply inventory</li><li>Maintain a clean work environment</li></ul><p>Some travel and evening work will be required.
