Brief description of your role The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary project team in the development of a technically, environmentally, and commercially robust onshore wind project from early concept to commissioning, ensuring that all outputs are high quality, enhance market value and stand up to external expert assessment. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining project management tools and disciplines to ensure that the project portfolio is delivered within specification and budget, ensuring that interfaces, risks and communications are all managed effectively and professionally, and that outputs are all high quality and stand up to external assessment. The candidate must be detail oriented, able to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation, and have a willingness to work on complicated, multi-disciplinary projects. This is a full-time role and salary is subject to negotiation and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. 3.

What Success Looks Like / Major Responsibilities Plan and implement the technical and commercial development strategy of the onshore wind project from pre-land lease through to commissioning Develop and maintain a close and collaborative working relationship with the Energy Park Project Manager Lead on scenario and LCoE modelling and maintain project DEVEX controls Optimise and manage the early-stage development pathway to securing a preferred development partner Ensure robust project decision management through market engagement, cost-benefit, and risk analysis Effectively manage change to ensure continued progress towards core business objectives Bring strong and efficient project management discipline to the projects and implement the relevant project management processes Propose ways of accelerating project development or adding value through innovation Offer critical thinking, and challenge the onshore wind development status quo whilst ensuring that outputs always remain robust and bankable Identify new opportunities to add value Facilitate strong communication links between management and all project development disciplines, including but not limited to, Engineering, Consenting, Controls, Commercial and HSEQ Competently develop scopes of work, procure, and manage suppliers and review all related third-party deliverables Ensure effective communications and orderly management of data Manage and report on project risks Support the development and management of project programmes, budgets, and cost books Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers Prepare and present project literature, spreadsheets, reports and briefing notes, including the competent use of all relevant software required to professionally convey project information Support on HSEQ management for the projects, actively working towards the zero-harm project objective Ensure compliance with the CDM regulations and that safety is always a core design priority in all geographies and comply with governance requirements and management reporting as required. 4. Competencies for success/Qualification Skills Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timelines and coordinate several external and internal stakeholders Excellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between, for example, contractors, team members and other stakeholders Fluent in English (written and spoken) The technical skills to understand complex issues and the ability to exchange with and understand subject matter experts Ability to work as a member of a large, multidisciplinary, and international team Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products, and Ability to create and communicate complex technical information concisely and clearly. Experience/qualifications Essential Degree in Engineering or other relevant field with at least 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector Demonstrable project management experience including change management Knowledge around technical and commercial aspects of energy project development Experience in managing procurement processes. Desirable Project Management Professional certification (or similar) Experience in the onshore wind sector.
