Position Overview:
We are looking for a Nuclear Project Engineer in Toronto to drive the growth of our nuclear capabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, engage with global teams, and play a key part in shaping the future of ABMI’s operations in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee engineering activities, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulatory standards and best practices.
• Coordinates with design staff members on administrative deliverables
• Coordinate with construction site staff both internally and externally.
• Prepare/follow up on meeting minutes for internal and external stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare all construction-related project documentation.
• Organizing and issuing client billing requests once design/construction milestones are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions and documentation that meet client requirements and project timelines.
• Support business development by representing ABMI’s nuclear expertise in client engagements and proposals.
• Contribute to establishing and growing ABMI’s Canadian operations, acting as a key point of contact for nuclear structural engineering initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in in Civil Work or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in nuclear projects, with familiarity with Canadian nuclear codes, standards, and regulations.
• Previous experience on construction sites is necessary.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of engineers and mentoring junior talent.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging clients, stakeholders, and team members alike.
