Production Supervisor - Relocate to Englehart, ON

Job Description

We are currently assisting a leading manufacturing company based in Englehart, ON with their Production (Shift) Supervisor role. This a full-time role and relocation to Englehart is required. The role manages a crew of up to 25 people and reports to the Production Superintendent. You will be working rotating days and nights shift.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading a production team to work injury-free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing process
  • Supervise/coordinate production efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production and costs
  • Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem- solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable
  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards
  • Monitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues
  • Provide safety training to crew members
  • Provide coaching; team development/performance management
  • Complete data entry responsibilities and generate reports


Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in steel or forestry experience is preferred
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Able to perform under pressure
