POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking two motivated and skilled Designers to join our Production Engineering team. In these roles, you will be responsible for executing design tasks, releasing Bills of Materials, and managing projects from concept through to production implementation. This includes creating technical drawings, conducting design calculations, and ensuring adherence to engineering and regulatory standards within your area of focus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Execute design tasks and projects that support manufacturing and production goals.
  • Coordinate personal workload and track progress to meet deadlines, factoring in vendor and production lead times.
  • Develop designs that meet customer requirements, technical summaries, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Ensure all designs comply with company design criteria, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Perform or initiate controlled component testing to ensure reliability, contractual compliance, and proper fit.
  • Create and release technical drawings and documentation in line with internal engineering procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service) and engage with vendors or customers for design clarifications or approvals.
  • Intermediate Designer: Check and review engineering documents created by others for accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • College diploma in a related engineering field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical or electrical design.
  • Registered with CTTAM or eligible.
  • Background in power distribution or electrical design is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in CAD and drafting software (Unigraphics experience preferred).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated; able to manage tasks independently.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of interpreting technical documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of component testing and verification practices.
  • Familiarity with production environments and manufacturing constraints.
  • Minimal travel required (<5%).
