Product Owner

Job Description

Client Objective:

The client is hiring a Product Owner to lead the development of a new, browser-based food and beverage management platform designed for private clubs and hospitality organizations. The solution aims to modernize dining reservations, table management, and point-of-sale integration-similar to an advanced version of OpenTable, but tailored for the private club environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product roadmap for the new food & beverage solution.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback and translating client needs into detailed user stories and product specs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, senior product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Bring ideas to improve table management, host management, and service efficiency.
  • Work hybrid (2 days/week in Markham office).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of product ownership/management experience (client open to flexible experience range).
  • Technology background (preferably SaaS or software for hospitality).
  • Experience with food & beverage or hospitality environments-even early career experience as a server, bartender, or host is considered valuable for understanding end-user needs.
  • Strong communicator who can articulate client pain points and drive product velocity.
  • Experience in POS systems or hospitality software ecosystems strongly preferred.
