Role Summary:

The Product Manager, Task and Multi-Purpose Seating, brings a high level of industry and product knowledge to the team. You are a detailed oriented individual who is actively looking to understand the competitive landscape and how we can better position our product offering, and what gaps we need to fill in to compete in these key verticals. In addition to the above, you are also an asset to the sales and bid team. You will provide application knowledge expertise to help identify the best product for the project at hand.

General Accountabilities:

  • Oversee all product lines within the Seating category and continue to improve the offering through product modifications and enhancements.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all product information, ensuring its accuracy within the price list, brochures, website, AS400, etc.
  • Assist the Global Bid Department in bids and quotes.
  • Assist and support the Global Sales Department in presentations and training initiatives.
  • Prepare NPR’s, ECN’s, pricelists, marketing updates, and other administrative documents.
  • Maintain liaison with various Global departments including Marketing Dept. Engineering Dept., Purchasing Dept., Specials Dept., Manufacturing plants and Inventory Control to provide product information and pricing.
  • Work with the various manufacturing units/departments to help address any ongoing problems, issues or concerns related to the product category.
  • Act as a key product liaison with the Global Industries’ Product Managers with a view to standardizing products and finishes across borders.
  • Product mapping and analysis of new and current lines.
  • Provide product information and support within the company.
  • Help to provide product knowledge to our sales team and customers through training sessions and customer presentations.
  • Create competitive analysis and provide necessary information for new product development and other initiatives.
  • Analyze sales reports and internal data.
  • Participate in the product development process as needed.

The Product Management Dept. is a team environment. From time to time, depending on the needs of the department, this individual may be asked to assist in special marketing projects and departmental matters which may be outside of this role.



Some travel will be required.


Qualifications:

  • Strong product knowledge of seating furniture and related products.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present concepts, products and solutions in a professional manner.
  • Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of the AS400 system is an asset.
