Our Resources subsector is part of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources & Industry) sector, supporting clients across Canada. We provide a full range of services to industrial and mining projects from feasibility studies to detailed engineering and mine site dismantling. WSP is seeking a Process Engineering Lead to join our GTA office team. You will lead the process discipline on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed engineering of large-scale projects, designing facilities across Canada and globally.


Responsibilities



  • Serve as the process discipline lead, managing client relationships, project quality, budgets, and schedules.

  • Coordinate and communicate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients, and sub‑contractors.

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings; review deliverables from junior and intermediate colleagues.

  • Conduct process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, 3D layout review, and analyze colleague work.

  • Mentor and provide on‑the‑job training for junior and intermediate colleagues.

  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects and project resources; support senior staff with budgeting, strategy, staff reviews, and training programs.

  • Contribute to proposal development and support business‑development activities for the sector.

  • Primarily hybrid consulting work with some travel and fieldwork.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • 12+ years of process engineering experience in a consulting environment, with prior lead experience.

  • Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), mine infrastructure, utilities, and industrial applications.

  • Current P.Eng. license in your province of residence.

  • Experience with HYSIS, AFT Fathom, or Promax software packages is an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.

  • Strong project‑management and discipline‑lead skills.
