Principal Software Development Engineer – Developer Enablement
Location: Remote (Must support PST time zone)
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with application teams to standardize and accelerate service deployment processes across internal platforms.
- Onboard and support developers using internal cloud and DevOps tools.
- Build, maintain, and optimize developer enablement platforms to improve efficiency and adoption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform or deployment-related technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform features with developer needs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials.
- Stay current with cloud, DevOps, and developer experience trends to drive continuous improvement.
Core Technical Expertise
- Cloud Platforms: 8–12 years managing cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred).
- Automation & CI/CD: Deep experience with Jenkins, CloudBees, Spinnaker, and other CI/CD tools.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Proven ability to automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Containerization: Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Networking & Security: Skilled in network policy design, L4/L7 routing, and service mesh solutions (Istio, Linkerd, Consul).
- Cloud Development: Background in Python, Node.js, or related frameworks for building scalable, cloud-native applications.
- Documentation: Ability to create clear, concise technical documentation and enablement resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills across engineering and product teams.
- Experience in developer advocacy, enablement, or DevRel is an asset.
