Our client is looking for a Plant Manager in the GTA. They have 3 production facilities located in Quebec, Ontario & Alberta and currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead their Mississauga plant. If you enjoy working on daily issues but can keep your eye on long-term goals then you may be the right fit for their organization.
Responsibilities:
The right candidate demonstrates leadership by example, can achieve corporate goals while maintaining harmonious work environment
- Creates accountability of staff through a clear message and positive influence
- Engages and energizes workforce through team building and advocating for sense of belonging to a team
- Organizes and optimizes all operations with the uncontested goal of exceeding customers’ expectations
- Questions status quo to improve production output, product quality and on-time delivery standards on a daily basis
- Develops systems and processes to make operations more productive and employees work easier
- Identifies and prioritizes working on less urgent but important activities vs. urgent yet less-important activities
- Implements corporate strategies to achieve goals
- Shares a trusting and open, yet professional relationship with employees
- Fosters a win-win attitude towards employee issues, whether personal or work-related
- Enjoys implementing solutions to a multitude of issues; operations, equipment, maintenance
- Commits to and promotes personnel and plant safety procedures
- Analyzes personnel strengths and weaknesses and promotes self-improvement
- Literally likes to get hands dirty solving operational issues and implementing plant improvements
- Places continuous improvement among the most critical plant ideal
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of production management
· Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
· Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical experience an asset
