Job Description

We are seeking a Picture Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality craftsmanship. In this role, you will work with a variety of materials, including canvas, paper, and glass, to create stunning, custom-made picture frames.<br><br>Picture Framer Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Measure and cut mat board, foam board, and other materials to size</li><li>Assemble custom frames using a variety of techniques and materials</li><li>Fit artwork and glass into frames, ensuring a tight and secure fit</li><li>Mount artwork onto mat board and foam board using proper techniques</li><li>Inspect finished frames to ensure they meet high quality standards</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area</li><li>Cutting and fixing moulding, mounts and glass</li><li>Safely use hand and machine tools, computerised mount cutter, pneumatic under pinner, Casesse mitre saw (training will be given)</li><li>Follow company procedures for handling and storing artwork and finished jobs.</li></ul>
<br>Picture Framer Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>Experience using hand and power tools</li><li>Minimum of one year's professional experience of cutting, assembling and finishing frames</li><li>Knowledge of framing techniques for artwork</li><li>Experience as a Picture Framer</li><li>Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail</li><li>Knowledge of different framing techniques and materials</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Ability to lift and move heavy materials, including large pieces of artwork</li></ul>
