Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Vancouver, 3 days remote


One of our esteemed clients-a fast-paced, growth-oriented company is looking for a detail-driven and motivated Payroll Specialist to join their team. Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Payroll Specialist will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed efficiently and accurately while supporting a variety of HR administrative functions.

This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll work cross-functionally and have exposure to both Canadian and US payroll operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Accurately process biweekly payroll, including calculating wages, bonuses, deductions, and overtime.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring timely changes for hires, terminations, salary changes, and promotions.
  • Review and verify timesheets to ensure compliance with company policy and labor regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to Finance on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate closely with the Benefits Coordinator and broader People & Culture team.
  • Stay informed on payroll compliance requirements across Canada and the US.
  • Address and resolve employee and manager payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with internal audits and maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee data.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and provide general administrative support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:


  • Previous experience in a payroll-focused role, ideally with exposure to both Canadian and US payroll.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a strong asset.
  • PCP certification (or working toward it) is an asset.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with HRIS/timekeeping platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a helpful, team-first mindset.
