The company has a modern and attractive working environment, and a strong health benefits package.  </p></p><p><p>  </p></p><p><p>Due to the growth of our business, we have opening for a Full time Painter & Sand Blaster </p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Job Description </strong></p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibility</strong><strong> </strong></p></p><p><p></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Sand blast and spray paint products and equipment as assigned by supervisor.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Work under minimum technical direction from the Shop Team Leader.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Inspect work in accordance with specifications.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Carryout prescribed preventive maintenance activities in accordance with scheduled check list.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Minimize scrap and rework.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Prevent lost time and rework in setting up and making repairs to equipment as required and notify supervisor.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Complete work within expected periods of time with minimum supervision.  </p></li></ul></p></p><p><p><ul><li><p>Communicate well with colleagues and supervisors.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Work at customers’ site in a professional manner when warranty work is required.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Follow company health and safety policy and all company policies.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Complete shop records accurately.  </p></li></ul></p><p><p>  </p></p><p><p><strong>Requirements</strong><strong> </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Experience as a Sand Blaster/Spray Painter in an industrial environment.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Minimum 2 years’ experience in a metal fabricating industrial field.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Able to handle all shop equipment including sand blasting, mixing, hand dollies, paint thickness gauges, hand tools and safety equipment.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Be able to read basic drawings and understand written instructions.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Ability to communicate in English (spoken, read/write)  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Ability to handle light to medium heavy materials intermittently.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Have close mental and visual attention.  </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience is an asset.  </p></li></ul></p><p></p></p><p><p><p></p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong></p></p><p><p>    </p></p><p><p>Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm , Friday 7am – 1:30pm  </p></p><p><p>Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday 4pm-2:30am   </p></p><p><p>  </p></p><p><p><strong>Salary:</strong></p></p></p></p></p>
