THE OPPORTUNITY

We're hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow our commercial business. This is a field-based role focused on building relationships with landscape contractors, builders, and commercial accounts. You'll manage 60+ existing accounts while actively developing new business across contractor, commercial, and wholesale segments.

 

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Base Salary:

$51,000 annually

Commission Structure:

• 5-10% of gross profit on account growth (tiered)

• 4-8% of gross profit on new accounts you open

• Signing bonuses: $250-$3,000 per new account based on tier

• Account upgrade bonuses: $500-$2,000 when you grow accounts to higher tiers

• 2% ongoing maintenance commission on accounts you develop (paid indefinitely)

 

Realistic Year 1 Earnings: $68,000-$80,000 Year 2-3 Potential: $70,000-$90,000 Top Performers: $100,000+

Your income grows as you build your book of business. Commissions are uncapped.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage and grow 60+ established contractor and landscape professional accounts

• Conduct 15-25 field sales calls per week

• Develop new business in contractor, commercial, and wholesale segments

• Provide consultative sales and product expertise

• Support trade clients by providing photos and videos for social media (cross-marketing)

• Quote pricing, negotiate deals, and close sales

• Maintain CRM records and track pipeline activity

• Partner with inside sales team for customer support

• Attend learning events to broaden knowledge and expand networking

 

This is a true outside role—expect to spend 80%+ of your time in the field at customer sites and job locations.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years B2B sales experience with proven track record • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle • Strong relationship-building and communication skills • Self-motivated with ability to work independently • Proficient with CRM systems and business technology

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in landscape, construction, or building materials industry • Existing relationships with contractors or landscape professionals • Hunter mentality with new business development skills • Understanding of construction and landscape processes

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday, standard business hours with flexibility for customer needs. Occasional early mornings or extended hours during peak season. Territory-based—we'll collaborate to help you plan your schedule and route.
