Join our team today Job Description Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager for the WSIB Specialty Clinic Services and working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support the development, growth and day-to-day operations of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Specialty MSK Clinics – an outpatient assessment and treatment program for injured workers who have sustained work related injuries and require interdisciplinary assessment, diagnostic and rehabilitation services to assist them in their return to work and function. The role requires a mixture of hands-on clinical work and administrative responsibilities including operational, staff oversight and liaison with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be work primarily in the MSK Specialized Care Services program, operating out of the MSK clinic for Comprehensive Assessments and with treatment therapy delivery in the Outpatient Rehab Department. You will work as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence based, outcome oriented care and recommendations. Accountabilities: Provide assessment and therapy services in keeping within the college guidelines and standards of practice for specialty clinic workers for issues that have been referred by WSIB through the Trillium Health Partners/Osler partnership Participate in the return to work planning with the interdisciplinary team and multiple stakeholders will be required Work within our WSIB/THP/Osler partnership in the coordination of WSIB services with the appropriate health care and administrative professionals including the review and interpretation of reports, facilitating conferences as needed, participation in data collection and analysis of business benchmarks and clinical outcome measures Participate in program planning, continuous quality improvement and evaluation Supervision of occupational therapy assistants when delivering treatment will be required, student supervision as required is also part of this role Practice in accordance with the Occupational Therapy standards of practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Qualifications BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Membership in CAOT or OSOT preferred Relevant experience in treating a variety of conditions in an ambulatory care setting, return to work planning, functional evaluation, work conditioning and return to work strategies an asset Cognitive Behavioral Training is an asset Certification in psychotherapy modalities preferred Experience in conducting/facilitating psycho-educational groups preferred Ability to deliver counselling and psychotherapy within the legislative requirements and under medical directives as required is preferred.

Experience with psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual and physical health related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performance Experience/Knowledge of evidence-based OT assessment & treatment to a neurological population preferred Experience providing services with a strong quality improvement focus to third party payers including WSIB Excellent written communication skills required for the preparation of comprehensive reports Demonstrated leadership ability within a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional patient care team Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills required Must demonstrate Osler’s Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration Excellent attendance and work record Additional Information Hours: Currently Days, 8 hours, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements) Internal application deadline: October 8, 2024 Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
