Spectrum Health Care is hiring full-time and part-time Wound Care Nurses (Registered Nurses) to support patients in Mississauga and surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to a forward-thinking program that bridges hospital, home, and community care.

Job Description

You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the community. You have clinical skills and extensive knowledge of wound, ostomy and continence care management for a wide range of patients with chronic diseases.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence concerns.
  • Provide patient-focused, safe, holistic nursing care and work collaboratively with other members of our team
  • Ensure that nursing care provided to our patients is based on current and best practices to achieve successful outcomes
  • Continually assess, anticipate, identify and respond to new and changing needs of our patients
  • Travel between patients’ homes within a specific geographical region
Qualifications

  • Must have completed NSWOC or International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC)
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum of two-year nursing experience (Community Nursing experience is ideal, but not required)
  • Ability to work independently in managing your own caseload
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required (if you can speak additional languages, terrific)
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle with willingness to travel
  • Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and ability to learn software
