Nuc Med Tech Are you patient focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist with excellent clinical skills looking for a great environment with an outstanding team?. Windsor Heart institute is recruiting a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our new Diagnostic Nuclear Cardiology facility. The successful candidate will have experience in performing Nuclear Cardiology studies, processing data and assisting with stress testing. Responsibilities include patient history taking and preparation, imaging and processing of Cardiac studies per WHI protocols while adhering to all Licensing and Radiation Safety guidelines set out by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Member in good standing of the CMRITO Member in good standing with CAMRT Minimum 0-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine. Current CPR and First Aid Training B.C.L.S certificate Knowledge of EMR systems Effective positive interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision. Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize workload.

Demonstrated flexibility within roles and responsibilities with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in patient scheduling Demonstrated commitment to patient safety Physical ability to perform the duties of the position Excellent and dependable attendance record Demonstrates excellent knowledge of and is able to perform cardiac nuclear medicine procedures Demonstrated commitment to maintaining / enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities General good health and a level of functional ability appropriate to the demands of the position RSO designation or willingness to take necessary courses to become certified as an RSO for the company Job Duties · Utilize principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to self, co-workers and patients. Perform Nuclear Diagnostic procedures while adhering to CMRTO/CAMRT guidelines. Perform regular quality control of department instrumentation and report anomalies to Manager. Ordering and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic procedures.
