National Sales Trainer

Onyx Fire Protection Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Trainer to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our sales training programs across Canada.

This role plays a vital part in equipping our sales team with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to exceed performance targets while upholding our commitment to life safety and exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to support recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new sales representatives.
  • Deliver structured orientation programs, including coaching plans, resource allocation, and ride-along coordination.
  • Continuously enhance the onboarding experience to accelerate ramp-up and long-term success.
  • Facilitate monthly training sessions for both new and tenured sales professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of training materials (presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, job aids).
  • Align training initiatives with organizational goals and revenue targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship through virtual and in-person sessions offering guidance on sales techniques, strategies, and best practices.
  • Observe sales interactions, analyze performance data, and deliver actionable feedback.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans in collaboration with Sales Managers.
  • Coordinate national training calendars and initiatives with Sales leadership.
  • Ensure training content reflects product updates, compliance standards, and market trends.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, sales methodologies, and fire protection regulations.
  • Measure training effectiveness using performance metrics and feedback and refine programs accordingly.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or leadership, preferably in fire protection, construction, or building services. We welcome applicants with significantly more experience who are excited to shape and elevate our training strategy
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, techniques, best practices, and CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful training programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training ROI and interpret sales data.
  • Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire sales teams, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Experience in the fire protection or life safety industry is a strong asset.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Education, or a related field.
