Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical resource to address and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Develop, implement, and sustain a maintenance program, including corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance, ensuring stable and reliable asset operations.
- Prioritize production machinery repairs and maintenance; analyze issues, requisition new parts, and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Lead and assist in the design of new projects, machinery replacements, and upgrades.
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors to ensure project completion within specifications, timelines, and budget.
- Help maintain facilities, equipment, and utilities to ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Arrange and manage equipment services performed by external contractors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on effectiveness, quality, safety, and equipment performance.
- Maintain key departmental reports, including downtime records, inventory levels, safety logs, and work order efficiency.
- Perform additional maintenance and repair tasks as required.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and Quality Management System requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Industrial Millwright.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance activities, including pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, lathes, presses, packaging systems, sanitation systems, milling, welding, plumbing, electrical, control circuitry, instrumentation, industrial automation, pneumatics, PLCs, HVAC, and facility maintenance.
- At least 5 years of experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Assets (Preferred but not required):
- Experience in a printing/packaging environment.
- Electrician License.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
