Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $40+/hr (higher with CofQ)
Annual Earnings: $90K+
Shifts: Rotating (Days, Afternoons, Midnights)
Overtime: Time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays
Job Overview
Our Mississauga-based client is hiring a Millwright to join their growing team in a heavy industrial setting. The role involves preventative and breakdown maintenance of heavy industrial machinery. Experienced, unlicensed Millwrights and 4th-year apprentices are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Work in a unionized, steel plant environment with rotating shifts
- Wear PPE, including a respirator, throughout the shift
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience (heavy industrial preferred)
- Millwright license (CofQ) is an asset ($3/hr pay increase for licensed candidates)
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy conditions
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
