Mig and Tig Welder Fitter

Location: North York, ON
Shift: Monday–Thursday (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM), Friday (2:00 PM – 9:00 PM)


About the Role

We’re searching for an experienced and reliable Welder Fitter to join our busy production team on the afternoon shift. In this role, you’ll be responsible for MIG and Tig welding, fitting custom metal components, working from technical drawings, and fabricating high-quality parts with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG and Tig welding on various metals (primarily mild steel)

  • Fit, position, and assemble custom metal components using blueprints and shop drawings

  • Select proper materials and prepare workpieces for welding

  • Set up and adjust welding machines according to job requirements

  • Fabricate components from raw material through to final assembly

  • Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure they meet production and quality standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Work closely with the plant leadership team to meet daily production goals

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of hands-on MIG and Tig welding and fitting experience

  • Strong experience in custom metal fabrication

  • Ability to weld materials from 18-gauge to 1/8” thick

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and custom work orders

  • Strong understanding of material selection and assembly processes

  • Experience in other welding processes (TIG, flux-core, stick) is an asset

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality

  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Safety & PPE Requirements

  • CSA-approved safety shoes

  • Welding helmet and welding gloves

  • Adherence to all workplace health and safety procedures
