<p><strong>Mechanical Project Manager/Estimator </strong></p><p><strong>Brief Description </strong></p><p>An excellent opportunity for a growing Project Manager to join an established full service mechanical contractor and work with some of Vancouver most skilled PM’s and Foreman. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>About our client </strong></p><p>My client is an established but boutique company, that offer full mechanical services for their clients. They mainly operate within commercial and institutional buildings, however do sometimes get involved in some residential work. </p><p>You will join the team of experts in the office and have a real opportunity to learn from the best. They have a collaborative approach to their projects that a lot of the big companies don’t, meaning you will work through challenges of these large scale projects as a unit and you will always feel supported as you succeed and grow as a team. </p><p><br></p><p>Please see below for an insight on the <strong>day-to-day duties of the role</strong>:</p><ul><li>Oversee the scopes related to all mechanical systems on the project to ensure the project to be completed on time and budget </li><li>Manage projects from pre-construction to completion</li><li>Providing technical insight throughout to avoid issues and to be cost effective </li><li>Prepare contacts when required </li><li>Regular reviews of change orders </li><li>Assist with take offs and bidding on new jobs </li><li>Coach and mentor more junior members of the team </li><li>Analyze site progress with regular site walkthroughs </li><li>Build relationships with Project Managers and Superintendents to work cohesively towards the same goals </li><li>Lead and manage all stakeholders involved, including: subs, consultants, and internal teams </li><li>Manage RFI’s, shop drawings and general administration</li><li>Partner with all MEP trades and lead from the front </li><li>Assisting with budgets, schedules and cash flow projects </li><li>Help with defining roles and scopes of work </li><li>Regular status check ins on M&E aspects of the project, confirming everything is being reported correctly </li><li>Monitor the material and labour costs for the M&E scopes </li><li>Other requirements as assigned </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>Ideal experience would be 5 years as a mechanical Project Manager willing to consider applicants with up to 2 years of experience + </li><li>Must have worked on projects in North America </li><li>Looking for at least one project to have been managed start to finish, this could be ICI (TI) or residential </li><li>Have an in-depth technical understanding of mechanical systems </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Strong relationship building skills </li><li>Proficient with computer systems and programmes </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><ul><li>Salary range $100,000 - $125,000 </li><li>3 weeks vacation </li><li>Medical and dental benefits </li><li>Phone and laptop provided </li><li>Educational training opportunities</li></ul>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
