Mechanical Designer / EIT
Location: Burlington, Ontario
Salary: $85K+ (Based on experience)
Fully On-Site
I'm partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy in Burlington that's expanding its team. We're on the lookout for a Mechanical Designer / EIT who thrives on collaborative problem-solving and wants to work across a variety of building projects in commercial and residential.
What You'll Do:
- Develop mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for commercial, residential, and light-industrial projects
- Create and revise detailed drawings and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy-efficiency analyses
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
- Participate in site visits and field reviews to validate design intent
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience in the building consulting space
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; registered—or eligible to register—as an EIT in Ontario
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD (must-have)
- Strong understanding of CSA standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and local building codes
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
