The idealcandidate willengage with managementand productionteams to deliveraccurate documentationand <span >comprehensivedrawing</span> sets.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Create detailed part and assembly drawings for steel and aluminum trailers, including precise bills of materials, using Creo software.</li><li>Update and revise existing drawings following established engineering change procedures and ANSI drawing standards.</li><li>Liaise with production personnel to resolve drawing and design-related issues.</li><li>Verify design drawings for compliance with specifications and design data.</li><li>Provide prompt support to the shop floor to address production challenges involving manufacturing specifications and bills of materials.</li><li>Work closely with the CEO to ensure designs prioritize safety, efficiency, functionality, and manufacturability.</li><li>Suggest and implement improvements to current trailer designs aligned with senior leadership objectives.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>Experience or training with Creo and Windchill PDMLink (or similar Product Data Management software) is highly desirable.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in a related engineering/design field.</li><li>Knowledge or experience designing transport trailers is a significant advantage.</li><li>Familiarity with engineering change procedures, ANSI drawing standards, and ERP systems.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Strong work ethic, a positive collaborative team mindset, and the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, including direct communication with the CEO.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions</p><ul><li>Requires manual dexterity for computer and peripheral use.</li><li>Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects may be necessary.</li><li>Overtime as needed.</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>A progressive health and safety program.</li><li>Challenging and rewarding work environment.</li><li>Opportunity to collaborate directly with the CEO and a team dedicated to building the industrys best trailers.</li><li>Competitive wages with RRSP matching program.</li><li>Ongoing skills development and training.</li><li>Company-paid healthcare benefits and an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP).</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Regular hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 12 noon on Friday</p><p><br /></p><p>The starting wage for this position is dependent on experience and training.
