Job Description

We are seeking a talented Meat Team Member to join our team!. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.

You will also maintain back stock in good order, assist with sampling programs, keep sample areas full, clean, and appealing, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.

Additionally, you will ensure accuracy of signs and pricing and immediately report safety hazards and violations.



Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to sell proactively and learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department
  • Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
  • Proactively read labels and familiarize oneself on various products
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
  • Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency


Benefits

As a Meat Team Member, you will enjoy a competitive hourly wage range of $18.50-$25.00, commensurate with experience.
