As a Material Handler, you will ensure the smooth transfer of goods from their point of origin to their final destination, while earning up to 26,50$ per hour (including evening premium of 2$/h, and refrigerated dock premium of 0,30$/h) when starting out, with annual salary review.
When you join the team of JERRY ARIGANELLO – Operations Supervisor, you’ll enjoy a evening schedule from Monday to Friday from 4.30pm to 1am and your tasks will look like:
  • Load, unload, sort, and weigh goods according to specific work methods and destinations
  • Use various work tools such as a forklift, hand pallet, and scanner
  • Stow and verify stowage of goods and stack goods on pallets
  • Fill out anomaly reports for missing, surplus, or damaged goods
  • Label, identify, and inspect goods
  • Ensure that loading and unloading reports as well as any other documents or forms required to accomplish your task are compliant
  • Fill out all forms required by the Company or government authorities and submit them to the concerned individuals
  • Ensure that the loading dock is clean, verify and inspect work tools and interior of trailers
  • Transmit varied information to Operations personnel and your immediate superior
  • Ensure exemplary customer service, demonstrating professionalism and respect
  • Perform tasks swiftly and work skillfully in a fast-moving environment
  • Work safely
  • Have knowledge of workplace procedures and regulations
  • Work in a refrigerated environment or freezer area
  • Respect standards for working with food such as the HACCP
  • Ascertain the proper functioning of heating and refrigeration units in trailers
  • Perform all other related tasks

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience with a sit-down forklift and already forklift certified
  • Able to work in a cooler / cold environment
  • Sense of priorities and rigor
  • Demonstrate professionalism, and teamwork
  • Focus on workplace health and safety
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
  • General computer knowledge
  • Experience and/or knowledge of working in a crossdocking environment / transportation of LTL freight
  • Experiences in HACCP norms and shipping of fresh foods
