<h3>Role Overview</h3>
<p>This role is for someone who thrives on initiative. You’ll host sauna sessions on site while also managing all of Parksville’s social media and community outreach. Because our leadership team isn’t always local, we need someone who is independent, proactive, and comfortable driving things forward without constant direction. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about sauna culture, wellness, and community building. What matters most is your enthusiasm, creativity, and ability to make people feel welcome.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li><b>Guest Hosting & Site Operations:</b> Welcome guests, orient them to the sauna experience, and ensure safety and comfort.</li>
<li>Set the vibe — lighting, music, scent, cleanliness.</li>
<li>Reset between sessions, refill amenities, and keep the space inviting.</li>
<li>Support small rituals, tea service, and seasonal activations.</li>
<li><b>Marketing & Community Outreach:</b> Fully manage The Finnish Sauna Parksville’s social media presence:</li>
<li>Capture and post authentic photos/videos 2–3 times per week.</li>
<li>Create engaging stories/reels that reflect sauna culture.</li>
<li>Respond to comments/messages and grow local following.</li>
<li>Build relationships with cafés, gyms, yoga studios, hotels, and other businesses for cross-promotion.</li>
<li>Distribute flyers/posters and increase visibility in Parksville.</li>
<li>Help coordinate and promote events and activations to draw in new guests.</li>
<li>Share regular updates on marketing efforts and guest feedback with the leadership team.</li>

<li>Passionate about sauna, wellness, and connecting people through experiences.</li>
<li>Comfortable wearing two hats: host + marketing lead.</li> <li>Confident creating social media content — consistent, creative, and authentic.</li>
<li>Warm, personable, and great with people.</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial mindset — excited to grow something small into something thriving.</li>
<li>Reliable, flexible, and open to evenings/weekends.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Compensation and Perks</h3>
<ul>
<li><b>Hourly Rate:</b> $24/hour base pay with bonuses</li>
<li><b>Performance Bonus:</b> Monthly bonus opportunities tied to guest capacity and the overall growth of the Parksville location.</li>
<li><b>Other:</b> 4% vacation pay added to each paycheque; statutory holiday pay as per BC Employment Standards Act.</li>

<h3>Schedule</h3>
<ul>
<li>Part-time, 10–20 hours/week to start.</li>
<li>As Parksville grows and bookings increase, there will be opportunities to take on more hours and responsibility.</li>
<li>Combination of on-site hosting shifts and flexible marketing/outreach hours.</li>
