We are currently seeking a Marketing Advisor to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA). The Industry Marketing Advisor serves as the thought leadership and content marketing strategy lead for the Retail and Commercial business vertical of NTT DATA.

This person will collaborate with the marketing business partner as well as Retail/Commercial business unit and consulting leadership subject matter experts with the primary objective to generate demand and support business growth. This person will gain an understanding of our client base and digital technology solutions offered for this industry and co-develop the marketing strategy and programs to help the team achieve their overall goals. This marketer drives the industry thought leadership and consulting points of views in prioritized marketing programs, with partners (as applicable), analyst relations, and client engagement/advocacy opportunities. This person collaborates closely with all of Marketing & Communications, including Industry l Marketing Business Partners, Strategic Campaigns, Partner and Portfolio Marketing, and shares insights and feedback from the business unit to the full Marketing & Communications team.

This is an ideal role for a self-starter open to collaborating with marketing teammates in Demand, Communications/PR, Campaigns, Design, and Industry Marketing, as well as with subject matter experts. Responsibilities might include: Advise and consult with Consulting and Industry Solution leaders to design innovating awareness, demand generation and content marketing programs that include strong value propositions, marketing strategies, KPIs, and messaging architecture. Collaborating with the Retail/Commercial Marketing Business Partner, advise and consult with Commercial industry solutions and consulting leaders to create an overall marketing strategy designed to achieve growth targets. Collaborate closely with Analyst Relations, Public Relations and customer advocacy leaders to enhance and promote market leadership, highlight business leaders as experts in their field, document client success stories and deepen client relationships.

Proactively communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders and Marketing & Communications team members to maximize information-sharing and drive positive results. Identify new marketing opportunities through industry research and news monitoring, and participation in industry and/or marketing organizations and events. Manage and adhere to marketing budget, maintain vendor and agency relationships, and oversee related contracts and payments. Skills/Criteria Required: Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant marketing experience with demonstrated ability to independently drive marketing programs.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer-facing IT services and/or Retail, Consumer, Commercial industry. Experience in digital marketing, web, content syndication, messaging, email, overall demand generation capabilities. Ability to work with business leaders and subject matter experts to execute awareness and demand generation programs that drive pipeline and support business growth. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related discipline required, graduate degree preferred.

Preferred skills and experience: Understanding of the Retail, Consumer Product and/or Commercial industries , including broader issues and client pain points Ability to work with business leaders and subject matter experts to execute awareness and demand generation programs that drive pipeline and support business growth. Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with business leaders, team members and clients. Strong project management and organization skills to plan and execute marketing initiatives and juggle competing priorities. Digital marketing and marketing analytics experience Enjoy working with a diverse team, sharing ideas and creative thinking.

Experience working with Consulting, industry and/or technology groups.
