Belvika uses its extensive experience in managing both manual processes and automated equipment to handle primary and secondary packaging of products for some of the world’s best known confectionary brands.   Belvika is growing and is currently seeking a Maintenance Line Mechanic for its Thornmount facility, located in Scarborough, for the Afternoon shift. The individual must be flexible to work all shifts. Position status: existing vacancy Shift: Afternoon shift   The successful candidate will:         The successful candidate is expected to competently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging machines and production lines; ensure product quality and compliance with standards; perform adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance; monitor and resolve line issues; manage defective materials; complete facility repair tasks; train operators; assist with production as needed; source and order parts; collaborate with management on equipment improvements; adhere to all health and safety requirements; and perform other related duties as assigned.   Education/Work experience requirements: * 1-2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic specializing in primary and secondary packaging (e.g. shrink wrapping, overwrapping and cartoning). * Experience using ERP/MRP systems; * Engineering/Technical Education background; * Licensed Millwright not required   Belvika is an equal opportunity employer, offering competitive wages, a bonus plan, benefit plan, ongoing training, and an interesting and challenging work environment.
