Our client has an immediate opening for a permanent, full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our client located in Prince George, BC.

  • Permanent, Full-Time Schedule with two lines available:

  • 4 days on, 2 days off (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM / 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
  • 4 days on, 4 days off (6:30 AM – 6:30PM / 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
     

What is the job?
  • Observe, monitor, document and update information about residents’ physical and psychological condition, care, and nursing procedures.
  • Provide and assist with personal care to residents as required.
  • Support emergency staff scheduling, as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Infection Control Practices and provide education as required for Outbreak and basic infection control practices.
  • Differentiating between normal and abnormal physical findings of residents.
  • Recognizing deviations from mental health baseline, differentiating between dementia and delirium of residents.
  • Assessing and monitoring residents’ current and potential strengths and limitations including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Taking appropriate action such as consulting with the primary physician or making referral to the Mental Health Team.

What do you bring to the job?
  • Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program
  • Active LPN registration with BCCNM
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Strong communication skills in English
