- Permanent, Full-Time Schedule with two lines available:
- 4 days on, 2 days off (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM / 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
- 4 days on, 4 days off (6:30 AM – 6:30PM / 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
What is the job?
- Observe, monitor, document and update information about residents’ physical and psychological condition, care, and nursing procedures.
- Provide and assist with personal care to residents as required.
- Support emergency staff scheduling, as required.
- Ensure adherence to Infection Control Practices and provide education as required for Outbreak and basic infection control practices.
- Differentiating between normal and abnormal physical findings of residents.
- Recognizing deviations from mental health baseline, differentiating between dementia and delirium of residents.
- Assessing and monitoring residents’ current and potential strengths and limitations including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Taking appropriate action such as consulting with the primary physician or making referral to the Mental Health Team.
What do you bring to the job?
- Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program
- Active LPN registration with BCCNM
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Strong communication skills in English
