Position Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment while following the safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to the required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You will work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:



· Perform daily inspections of equipment, filling out inspection sheets and making notes of any items needing repair

· Assist the Electrician in machine repairs and routine maintenance of building systems

· Installation of new equipment


· Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment

· Rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders

· Fabricate various fixtures and welding of hydraulic pipes


· Replacing bearings on various pieces of equipment

· Changing blown fuses and general welding repairs

· Troubleshooting failed equipment


· Replacing O-rings on hydraulic valves & hydraulic pumps

· Replace broken drive belts

· Changing saw blades & motor coupling


· Replacing material handling belts

· Able to perform other duties as assigned


 

Skills & Qualifications:

· Proficient welder

· Good knowledge of hydraulic circuits/diagnostics


· Basic knowledge of windows PC environment, MS word/excel

· Basic electrical knowledge

· Ability to take the initiative on tasks


· Able to work with minimal supervision

· PLC experience would be an asset

· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written


· Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

· Detail-orientated and analytical thinking

· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude


· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Enthusiasm to apply continuous improvement techniques


Experience/ Educational Qualification Required:

· Must be 443 license Certified – Industrial Millwright license

· 7 years’ of millwright experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment


· Experience with metal processing, heavy stamping or die casting is an asset

· Ability to install, maintain, test troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
