Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for a Lead Hand Framer located in Saskatoon, SK. The Lead Hand Framer will be responsible for overseeing framing projects from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and quality of work. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, assigning tasks to team members, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and providing guidance and training to junior framers. The Lead Hand Framer will also collaborate with other trades and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in framing, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial construction
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) or equivalent certification is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in carpentry or construction management preferred
