Our client has an immediate opening for a Lead Front End Developer to join their team in Toronto on a 6 month contract with high probability of further extension.


What You'll Do:


  • Manage the front-end experience designing, developing, implementing the overall web architecture for platform and web properties
  • Lead projects from conception to implementation
  • Develop and maintain applications built in React
  • Uphold standards for the use of reusable components and writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests
  • Lead code, architecture, technical reviews and discussions
  • Explore with the team on new front-end technologies and standards that improve processes


What You Bring:


  • Hands on experience with React as well as working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and building responsive layouts
  • Familiarity working with Git, including pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD systems
  • Uses a collaborative approach to building and debugging complex systems
  • Proficient UX/UI capabilities with a focus on modern browser technologies and consumer facing products
  • Passionate about improving software development workflows/process
  • Nice to haves: GraphQL, Redux, Node.js, Next.js, Babel, and Highcharts
