<p><h3>Lead Engineer - Machining</h3><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><b>Minimum Requirements</b>:</p><p><b>Education</b>: High School Diploma OR GED</p><p><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li>3+ years of experience in an Engineering Specialist – Process / Controls position.</li><li>Must have the ability to serve as a confident technical mentor to the production organization.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Requirements</b>:</p><p><b>Education</b>:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)</li></ul><p><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li>3+ years of experience in a unionized environment.</li><li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency in problem-solving and corrective action techniques, including 8D and 5Why.</li><li>Familiarity with Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.</li><li>Experience with quality management tools like Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design of Experiments (DOEs), and Visual Factory Management.</li><li>Competent data analysis capabilities using Minitab and Quality WorX for large amounts of data, with GB (Green Belt) or BB (Black Belt) certification.</li><li>Well-versed in strict adherence to Quality Operating Systems.</li><li>Proficiency in resolving issues quickly through root cause analysis and driving change back to production departments.</li><li>Well-demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p>We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p>Ford of Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to a culturally diverse workforce. Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited does not sponsor work permit applications.</p><p>#LI-SHERMAN</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p><b>The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li><b>Support</b> Manufacturing Process Engineering activities for Assembly or Machining operations.</li><li><b>Drive</b> continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.</li><li><b>Apply</b> engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and products.</li><li><b>Develop</b> action plans to investigate quality concerns and verify corrective actions for internal and supplier processes.</li><li><b>Lead</b> and conduct process audits to ensure discipline aligns with Powertrain Operations guidelines.</li><li><b>Conduct</b> job ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions.</li><li><b>Analyze</b> inventory root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory.</li><li><b>Create</b> process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods.</li><li><b>Deliver</b> capable processes and tools for machining or assembly.</li><li><b>Lead</b> resolution of process concerns, variability reduction, and lean manufacturing initiatives.</li><li><b>Ensure</b> compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards.</li><li><b>Back up</b> International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 compliance and support internal ISO auditing.</li><li><b>Support</b> continuous improvement initiatives within machining or assembly areas.</li></ul><p>#</p></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
