Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.</p><p> </p><p> We are currently seeking a qualified <b>Lead Electrical Engineer </b>to join our team. </p><p><br></p><ul><li>Location: Halifax, NS</li><li>Job Type: Full-time </li><li>Working Arrangement: Hybrid </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team developing new and innovative electronics solutions to meet customer needs, working in a number of specialist areas including low noise preamps, high speed digital telemetry, Digital Signal Processing, and RF design.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Design, implement, maintain configuration management and test maintainable hardware and firmware systems in accordance with the company's procedure and project specific requirements</li><li>Preparing or reviewing typical design documentation (design requirements, schematics, board layouts, technical specifications, and data sheets)</li><li>Preparing or review engineering deliverables for existing and new electrical system design modifications/upgrades/replacements</li><li>Preparing cost estimates or cooperating appropriately with others responsible for reporting the estimate.</li><li>Apply independent diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices</li><li>Act as a technical interface with customers</li><li>Provide coaching and guidance to and check work of junior engineers, technologists or technicians</li><li>Participate in and chair technical reviews</li><li>Other tasks as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering</li><li>Strong Electronic product development experience</li><li>Experienced in analog and digital design, embedded microcontroller design (ARM-based microcontrollers or DSP-based systems)</li><li>Experience with PCB schematic design tools</li><li>Experience with peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, etc.</li><li>Experience with DSP applications</li></ul><p></p>
