Lead Electrical Engineer – Building Consulting
Location: Hamilton, Ontario
Type: Full-time, On-site
About the Role:
A growing building engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Hamilton/Burlington office. This is a fully on-site role, ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys working hands-on with design teams while providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical design for building projects, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
Oversee and mentor designers and engineers within the electrical team.
Coordinate project requirements with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
Conduct site visits and support construction administration.
Ensure project quality, budgets, and schedules are met.
Contribute to business development and proposal support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
P.Eng. designation in Ontario (or eligibility).
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in building design consulting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
