Status: Permanent full-time
Salary: $24-$26 per hour (dependent on experience)
Dominion City is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced professional to join our production team as Lead Canning Line Operator. We're specifically seeking someone with proven experience operating a Wild Goose 4-head Canning Line to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our packaging equipment.
As the lead operator, you'll manage day-to-day packaging activities-including the canning line, depalletizer, labeller, and keg cleaning/filling-while ensuring repairs, maintenance, and material handling are carried out efficiently. You'll collaborate closely with our Brewery Manager and Production Manager to align on schedules, process and quality standards, SOP compliance, and continuous optimization for consistency, safety, and efficiency.
The successful candidate is willing to learn, grow, and adapt as a member of this team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee packaging equipment: canning, labelling, keg cleaning, and filling
- Perform cleaning, sanitation, and routine maintenance on all packaging equipment
- Follow and help refine preventative maintenance schedules
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues promptly
- Track KPIs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to process improvements
- Lead packaging shifts on the canning line
- Wash kegs and maintain required clean keg inventory
- Assist team members with packaging, grain handling, inventory, and warehouse tasks
- Handle cleaning and sanitization chemicals safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across all packaging, storage, loading, and waste disposal areas
- Support Taproom inventory management and order preparation
- Monitor and organize packaged beer and packaging materials throughout the facility
- Represent Dominion City positively as an everyday ambassador
Experience & Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a canning line (Wild Goose experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or within a team
- Strong communication skills-both written and verbal
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg
- Flexible availability for a 40+ hour workweek with varying start times
