This role is ideal for a professional with strong accounting expertise and leadership capabilities. The Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial operations and manage a small team of Accounting Specialists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. As a growing business in a high-growth industry, we offer exciting opportunities to make a real impact alongside a talented ecosystem of partners and vendors.</p><p><br><br></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.</li><li>Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax regulations, including GST/QST filings.</li><li>Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.</li><li>Monitor and report on financial performance and variances.</li><li>Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.</li><li>Maintain documentation for CDAE/SRED and other tax credit programs as applicable.</li><li>Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.</li><li>Support the CEO and CFO with financial reports as required.</li><li>Lead and supervise a small team of Accounting Specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Skills and Experience</p><ul><li>Superior quantitative, analytical and accounting skills</li><li>Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced & dynamic work environment</li><li>Intellectually curious and asks questions</li><li>Ability to work independently or in a team, with high self-motivation and attention to detail.</li><li>Communicate complex business and/or financial concepts in a clear & simple fashion)</li><li>Nimble in your thinking and able to pivot and change gears according to business needs.</li><li>Strong understanding of all aspects of accounting & financial management</li><li>Superior communication, interpersonal & collaboration skills</li></ul><p></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>Must have a CPA designation which is in good standing.</li><li>Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or telecom environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Excellent organizational and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written)</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Benefits</p><p>Adaptiv Networks is committed to creating and sustaining a collegial work environment in which all individuals are treated with dignity and respect and one which reflects the diversity of the community in which we operate.
